My Story

If we haven't met, I'm Lane and I am a storyteller at heart.

My favorite things to do in life all come back to telling or creating a story: writing, reading, singing, connecting, making memories with loved ones, traveling...and photography is no exception! Every photo session is as unique as the person or people in front of my lens and my goal is to tell YOUR personal story through photos.

My journey in photography started when the first digital cameras became mainstream in the early 2000's and I "borrowed" my mom's digital camera (which was actually a welcome idea to my parents who had spent hundreds of dollars on my endless Kodak camera prints).

Anyone else remember floppy disks? I filled hundreds of them (literally) with pictures and became the unofficial photographer at family gatherings where my many younger cousins became the most adorable subjects. This interest led to photography classes in high school and college where I majored in multimedia journalism, which is storytelling on a variety of visual and written mediums.

Since then, I've photographed seniors, families, proposals, engagement pictures, weddings, maternity pictures, babies and children, milestones, pets, theater productions, boudoir, home listing photos, events, and more. The albums you see here on my website are a few samplings of the most common sessions I offer, but if you don't see the type of session you're looking for, it doesn't mean I don't offer it! Just ask! I love it all, and capturing the essence of unique bonds and beautifully unique people brings me joy.
